What makes a great actress? Is it the looks? The talents? Or maybe charisma? Whatever that is, Mary Tyler Moore definitely has all of them. But before reaching her stardom, like all the other starting actresses trying to make it to Hollywood had been turned down in auditions but never gave up. Given a small role in the Richard Diamond Private Detective, bigger offers had bee given to her and that started it all. With her entire Hollywood career, she had won for herself like twenty-six awards from different award winning bodies and critic circle. Named by Entertainment Weekly as the number 22 Entertainer among the 100 other names.

But we all know that there are no perfect lives in this world. Mary Tyler Moore might have been a good performer both on theater and screen but had several failed marriages- all were short-lived and ended in divorce. Not a lot knows it but she had been an alcoholic but never denied it. As a matter of fact, she released an autobiography wherein one of the highlights of the story was all about her addiction to alcohol before and how she came to recover and all the other rocky parts of her life. Not all celebrities could be as proud as her- as proud of showing the world that however great an actress she may be, she’s also but human and err.
